Speaking of plug BTW, I'd give that some love too and secure up a bit more w/ some black RTV sealant. If not using removable pin connectors as in an injection mold, that piece will be molded as one entire assembly with and the wires then cut to length at termination connector. Suspect they were initially. Then they realized overall pigtail too short. So they clipped all at plug to extend and then "hand molded" in the extensions back into original.

Looks sharp overall though and look forward to everyone reporting back LT results.

I really appreciate your helpful tips and will use them. I'm disappointed in all the extra work needed to be done to ensure an EOM secure fit on new tail lights for the cost.
