I have a couple boxes of parts from a 2001 2.7L engine. Here's what it has instead:
It looks like those clever engineers figured out that it was better to make it all one piece with the sprocket.
A search showed that the old number was superseded:
Further investigation showed that it was changed in 1998 from two pieces to one. The way I read it, the later (one piece) part can be used on all 986 models:

I'd recommend a call to a
SMART parts counter guy at a dealership to make sure you can use the new sprocket, but I'm pretty sure you can. Forum member "JFP in PA" can probably tell you the answer if you get his attention. If you want the sprocket that I pictured above, just send me a message.
