Doesn’t Raby recommend keeping the oil full topped up to help with starvation issues and helping with bathing the IMS more effectively? I run mine full up. Not been an issue.

I would think on the street that's the right way to go. But those who track their boxster would likely find themselves regretting it quickly. The smoke bombs would be frequent, after every hard left corner, basically.

Hmm, interesting. I track my car often (albeit in street form) and never had an issue. It would be interesting to hear from some of the race guys. I would think a slightly possible smoke bomb would be preferable to sucking air...

No argument from me on that point. I'd say I've become somewhat "notorious" for the smoke bomb, because I prefer it to the alternative you pointed out.
However, every time it happens there's dozens of boxster guys telling me how normal this is, and a quick search through this forum will show you the same thing.
Accelerating after a hard left hand turn is the most likely scenario for it to occur.
But you gotta be really getting after it to make it happen on street tires.
