When I lived in Tahoe, I used to switch to winter tires in mid October and ran them until April, I had them mounted on differnet rims so swapping was simple. Never had any issues running winter tires, little more road noise and the grip on DRY pavement was horrible, in comparison to summer permormance tires.

Also remember, All Season tires are not necessarily rated for snow if thats what your looking for, you have to look for the MS rating.

I'm glad I don't have to go through that anymore, I moved to Florida, sorry, lol
