Hello Particalwave I have completed the test . Step # 3 and the red with /blk stripe only had 5.75 volts on it opened passenger side and no voltage on red and /blk wire.

Closed passenger side door and opened it a couple times still nothing.

I went back and opened drivers side and had that 5.75 volts on the red /blk wire on the Imobilezier.

What does that tell me a short or bad Imobilezier?

Hello Partical wave, i checked the red wire with the bk stripe. I only had 5.75 volts. that was the wire from the Immobilizer box.

do you know where to go from this? Hope not to repair shop. I heard it cost $800 for them to repair and send back.

If you're positive that you're getting 5.75V+ at the immobilizer and 0 at the dome light, you likely have a short to ground somewhere. I'll take a look at the wiring diagram for your '97 tomorrow and list everything on that circuit so they can all be checked.
