CD Player - Stop due to Sun ?

Hey folks, I noticed when the temperature outside is hot and sunny 30C+ that my CD player will stop working. I am not sure if the thing starts to over heat and something in the CD player stops working... the radio works fine just the CD player will stop reading CDs.

This happen to anyone else?

I wouldn't put a CD in there you cared about. It's just a matter of time before it stops working

Which head unit do you have?

The CDR-220 (which is pretty common in Boxster's) will display "CD TEMP" for 8 seconds on the display if the unit detects an over heating condition. When this happens, the unit will automatically switch back to the last selected signal source (AM or FM).
