For the track or a big road trip, go with the bra. Everyday driving, go braless...

I have a bra for my Box. I use it all the time, but I make sure to keep it clean, take it off if it rains, and keep the car waxed. Mine is not a fashion statement; it is necessary.
I live in a rural area so even a "quick" trip to the store is over 20 miles round trip, and down a highway that is a main truck route. That and the gazillions of bugs since there is a major river and a large lake nearby make it mandatory. Cleaning the bra and windscreen after every drive in the summer is a necessity. When I return from a drive, both are convered in bug guts. (ick!)
Oh, and this year I've been plagued with Avian Suicide Bombers too. I have hit no less than a dozen birds so far this year while driving (or should I say they have hit me???) including two while driving the Box.
I know the bra saved my paint both of those times.
For me, it is worth it!

I will echo what others have said. Take it off if it gets wet and be sure to keep it clean. I only use mine for trips out of town. Personally I hate the "look".

I have both!
the clear bra is a must have.
My last car didn't have it and what an eye sore, all those little pop marks crudely covered up with touch up paint.
I use the bra for autocross/DE/etc.

Hi,
Clear Bra - waste of time, maybe not right away, but over time you'll see what I mean. Vinyl Bra, very visible, but a necessesity if you want to avoid front end paint damage. I have the OEM Bra and only use it on high-speed road trips. As mentioned, keep it and the paint clean and remove to prevent getting it wet and to eliminate UV paint fade marks...
Happy Motoring!... Jim'99

I have both the 3M clear bra and OEM Porsche bra.
I say the standard bra is worth it for long trips, makes cleaning the bugs off real easy
