Front control arm bolt tightening?

Bentley says the inner bolt needs to be torqued to 120Nm under load. I can see no way to put a socket and torque wrench on this nut! I used a box end and cheater tube to tighten it as much as possible with limited space since the car was up on ramps. Maybe I'm fretting for nothing. Any input?

Just got done with this same project. You are correct about not being able to get a torque wrench in there!

Inner bolt and nut need to be tightened with the car on the ground. If you can't do it that way, at least get a jack under the hub and lift the hub up to put a load on the assembly.

Like you, I ended up torquing the inner bolt and nut as tight as I possibly could.

The project requires the use of the correct sized crows foot extension on the torque wrench, being sure to use proper adjustment to the torque value target.

Reviving a super old thread. Getting ready to install PSS9s and was wondering the same thing. The manual makes it sound like no big deal…just torque it on the ground….with 3 inches of clearance 😂

Guess I need to make a another harbor freight run for crows feet.

Does anybody read the posts? Dude said, in 2017, he had the car on ramps when torquing.

Ramps. Ground. Ramps. Ground.

Anyone see the connection here?
