Repair estimate - window that won't crack, turn signal issues

Hi. Anyone have any quick input on what might be the tab? Blinker works, but doesn't stay on (so needs to be held up for a turn); one window doesn't do that small drop it's supposed to when opening door.

looking at a car that has those issues, wondering what i might have to invest to get them fixed.

thanks!

Clock spring is done... can be repaired DIY
Micro switch on the affected door is pooched, also DIY, you could get a repair estimate for the jobs at a mechanic and use it as a bargaining chip if you're so inclined.

Can you do the work yourself or will you have to take the car to a local mechanic?

no time to check with a mechanic, that's why i'm asking you all, in case someone's had either/both jobs done recently.

yes, probably i could DIM, but won't get as much off the ask that way

Window drop could also be a regulator with too much slack in the cable. Any noise when you open the door?

Turn signal stalk assembly = $300
Window regulator = $50
2-3 hours labor @ $150/hr = $300-$450

$650-$800

The clock spring is part of the airbag. The turn signal needs replaced. It is not an easy job. Window is the assembly with the micro switch. Again not an easy job. Both can be done if you work on your car and are mechanically inclined. You will need to purchase a few tools to accomplish both so you may want to take it to your mechanic for an estimate and then price out the parts, tools and time to do yourself. I replaced my inside door handle assembly. What would take my mechanic about an hour took me 4 hours so take that into consideration. Good luck!

Adding to what ParticleWave wrote...

If you want to fix the turn signal switch yourself, the procedure is described in detail in the 101 Projects Book (written by the founder of Pelican Parts) or can be found on the Pelican Parts website (click on "How-to Articles" at the top of the page). It's described in the article for adding the On Board Computer (OBC) and probably the article for adding cruise control.

I bought a regulator in January 2017 and installed it DIY. The OEM part from the dealer was +/- $270 after my PCA discount.
