New to the 986 world in So. Cal
Hi all. I don't know if this is the best place to post an introduction, but here goes. It can be moved if necessary. After owning 912's (still have one) and a 993 (I miss, but needed to pay for a kitchen remodel) I have landed myself in the realm of the 986. I am super excited to be back in a roadster (built a Factory Five roadster about 10 years ago and sold it to buy a 993). Even though I have 2 young kids, I am hoping to be able to spend some quality time behind the wheel. Maybe I'll even let my wife come along.
Anyways, here are a couple pictures. It's a 1998 in silver with a Boxster Red interior, 5MT. It's sitting a just under 24k miles, and has a new clutch, had the brakes flushed/filled/bled, and the IMS/RMS done. Really excited to be here!
PS - Don't know why the last 3 pictures came out flipped! Sorry!

Welcome to 986 Forum! I fixed your images for you. Not sure what happened there either. Be sure to check out our 986 tech articles if you ever need any tech help. Otherwise, if you have forum or parts questions please don't hesitate to let me know!

For three years I worked in Simi right off the 118 and Madera. Really nice people there and a great town.

Welecome!
Welcome to the group! Great looking car you have, I am right over the hill in Chatsworth so i might see you tooling down the 118 some day! Maybe we could put a little run together with some of the locals.

Yes, thats my son, Jack. He is 5. We also have a 3 week old son, Ben.
I would love to get a drive in one of these days! I am going to try and go to the Trancas cars and coffee on Sunday in the Fulvia.

Center Cap Wheel Mystery
A buddy of mine, not a car guy, had his wheels redone. These are the old center caps (See link for pics). He is trying to find replacement caps but has no idea what or where they came from.
- Code Stamped: C538A-2 on back
- Sticker on front
- Wire ring causes spring tension against plastic teeth
- 2.5" edge to edge
Any ideas?
