2000 S w/ tag on engine

So I wonder what the odometer says, wonder what the chassis miles actually are (Carfax?), what the car was advertised as having? Would smog test records show what the VIN had been doing in its life?

I might be having a serious discussion based on those answers especially with the seller if it is a dealer.

OTOH, nothing wrong with a 32k miles 3.2 engine out of a wreck. But if it was rebuilt for some reason then not knowing why could lead to uncertainty as to the condition of the engine.
