Well, we can hope can't we? Who would have thought 914's would appreciate? Or 912's? Hell, even 924's and 944's are showing appreciation. 928's and 968's certainly are and we all know 964's and 993's are all but unattainable now.

Sure, the best examples of the most desirable and/or limited models have gone stratospheric in price, but there are still very nice drivers cars available at very reasonable prices. You just have to look a bit.
 
Here is a very presentable 964 cab for $32K. About the price of a new Honda. This is pretty much attainable by almost everyone.
