7hp at top end ain't bad. Better than losing hp which some of these aftermarket mufflers do!

rule of thumb 10 lbs = 1 hp? you loose 40 lbs with a full change (headers, no cats) - that's another 4 apparent hp.

They are not all the same. They look the same, but the AP one in that video give you 23hp!

Any improvement in weight is a bonus I suppose. That coupled with the sound makes it at least worth a try...

I also came across a full stainless set for €750 comprising of headers, cat delete pipes and muffler. Now that might be worth a try. Has anyone in the UK/Ireland removed their cats and pass emissions?

Idk about this only gaining power in the near recline... I don't notice any power gains past 5500. It's mainly low and mid. But um also at 6k elevation so the car is easily smothered. Unrestricting air flow is a very good performance increase. You don't want backpressure, you want a good scavenging effect in a well built exhaust. The 986 exhaust design is extremely restrictive with tons of tight bends, small piping, everything about the factory is flawed.

Anyway here's another clip showing how quiet it is inside with windows up
