It is easier (and safer for the ball joint), to remove the bolt that attaches the lower control arm to the subframe...

I'll do that in the morning, alignment be damned. I just can't be stuck another day. Wish they had a tool small enough to get it out, but I'll remove the LCA, from the suffrage and how that gives enough play to pull it out.
