'02 in shop for IMSB etc

Brought the boxster into indie shop yesterday. Had Scheduled ims bearing (LN ) replacement. Pouring rain drinking there thinking do I really need to do this ?
Answered your own question - yes! I'm not the relaxed type

Got a call today , shop giving an update that the clutch was all but gone pressure plate almost at the rivets. I guess 53k it's not unusual even after reading how some guys get 100k ?
I held my breath in hopes the fly wheel was ok, not so lucky it was pretty bad.
Well you can guess this got expensive in a hurry. I figured the clutch should be done even if it was half way worn, but flywheel was a hit
Tonight as I'm going over things it was a good move to drop tranny the clutch would have gone soon and at that time all work would have been performed anyway
Pretty sure shop said the original factory ims was in good shape.
