dghii Registered User Join Date: Sep 2008 Location: Florida Posts: 2,497	If all you replace was your battery, you had/have a ground issue. I'd monitor to see if static comes back. Lack of AM is usually caused by a bad ground at the antenna amplifier located in the passenger side A pillar. Search a bit and you'll see a DYI on getting to the amp and cleaning the connection.
