IMHO, I think the cost of a welding would not justify doing it, since they are used and may have a few miles on them..

Perhaps Woodie can set you up with a used one for the time being, until you can get a new pair of support mounts.

Hopefully the guy that will be welding the tap have enough room with the tranny in place...
