20th Anniversary of the Boxster @ 2017 Werks Reunion / Amelia Island
The PCA will be celebrating 20 years of the Boxster at the Werks Reunion in Amelia Island this March. The below announcement is in the new issue of Panorama.
Werks Reunion, Boxsters, and the Amelia Island Concours and auctions. Something tells me I might be going for a road trip in March.
No details on the website yet, but I imagine they will be looking for some early 97's and 04 SE Spyders to represent the 986. (Though it is a shame they didn't actually put a picture of a 986 in the ad!!!)

I thought the same, why no 986??? However, 2017 Parade logo does prominently feature a 986 drawing.
Trying to convince my wife to go to the Werks Reunion. It is quite a long trip in the Box for us, not to mention we are signed up for BRBS in May/June - another big road trip. We shall see.

I am glad they are being honored. 20 years is pretty impressive. Wish I lived closer. I think they are pretty admired/liked cars except from the air cooled guys.
my 911 friend said to me today, "it's just a boxster" because I told him I don't like to park it certain places. He was then really shocked when I told him I get lots of compliments, like really surprised. I appreciate his honesty but one needs to have somewhat of a filter. It's like telling someone there wife is ugly. You may think it, just don't say it out of Kindness.
I'll send him the link. He'll be shocked. This should be fun.

Oh my! I'd have answered "at least when I park it people aren't asking - who's that prick in the 911?"

15 minutes from me. Looking forward to this event. Perhaps my 66 912 will be back on the road for this event...

Im glad the PCA is celebrating the Boxster...........I quit the PCA after several years because they never acknowledge the Boxster for anything let alone saving the company. They never ran any articles or hardly any pictures in the rag. Everything is 911 or old 356.........The OMNI plantation resort is a great place with a nice beach, so it should be fun........

I'm going!
2,200 mile round trip, but I know it will be well worth it. Hope to see many 986 folks there to represent the 20th anniversary of the Boxster!
