Cheap AOS unit

I went to Oakville Porsche to get a new AOS unit.
Checked my special account for the Porsche to see if I had enough money to pay for it.
There was $260.00 in my account. I thought. for sure there is enough.

We found the part, checked the price, and it was $56.00.
I swear every time I see a price given, it was around $150.00

Looked for the Defuser clips. $5.60

I may ask for headlight units next time I go in.

I hope the AOS was not an aftermarket URO brand? Check carefully. Hopefully it is OEM?

They can easily fail in a month ...

So you paid 56$ for an OEM AOS at a Porsche dealership ??? Good deal!

My experience with URO is the same. U replace often. It costs you in the short run.

You are driving a Porsche and trying to save a couple of bucks (~$50 - $100) by buying a cheap knockoff part. Something wrong there.

On critical items....never go cheap

If it can kill your engine or kill you because you cant stop but really good stuff. When it comes to engine buy OEM...brakes lots of good stuff on the market. If your buying Audio , stuff or something that is not critical to the drive train (remember engine cooling as well) you can be thrifty. I am going to do a preemptive water pump replacement in the spring...mine is fine but I am approaching 80K miles....time for a new Water Pump and AOS just because.

I didn't ask for aftermarket.
I went to a dealer. I want original products.

If I get an aftermarket part, I will be very pissed off.

Fuzz,
Are you saying you were sold an aftermarket AOS by your Local Porsche dealer?
Suggest you buy from a reliable vendor on the west coat that has good shipping to Guam and honest customer service - like Pelican?
