1. Don't drink coffee in your sports car! When I was in Germany they made fun of us about this. "we take driving zeriously, coffe cup holders are purely an american invention"

2. rear speakers are good for top up driving, I tune them out and go full front only with the top down. I've got the full Bose package. Excellent sound, best of any roadster I've driven. The rear speakers would be a bottom of the list upgrade.

3. I have the V1 and switch between cars by merely unplugging it. Best radar detector I've seen or used. I can't overstate the beauty of those arrows. No more wondering if I have passed the threat, once I see the arrow pointing behind me I can exhale and get back on it immediately.

milist, I have a Escort Solo S2 and I love it ! I still think that the Valentine is better, but I believe the Escort is the best cordless available. Almost never faults, give more than adequate advance warning. I drive about 300 miles a week and have to replace the battery about every two months ( 2 AA ). Only complaint is I cannot hear it when the top is down on the freeway so I have to rely on the visuals, but other than that I am very pleased....
