Brake Bleeder Screw size
One of my bleeder screws needs to be replaced as it is rounding off
Does anyone know what size they are?
The Porsche ones are $27 a pair and generic ones run a buck or 2 each

I don't see how 1.x mm could cause any trouble, unless it somehow sticks down too far. An extra few mm on the nipple part is no worries. Which one did you find?

Maybe someone can chime in, but I believe that the bleeders seal by seating all the way in, so a longer one would stick out the top a little.
I guess I will have to remove one and see
Gonna have to wait until next week after I get back from the track

Looks like Napa has them for around $2.00

I believe 10mm. I replaced mine with speed bleeders from Pelican. Remember you will need a pair for each caliper. found this out the hard way. I have the original ones that came off the car. they were in good shape let me know if you want one to replace yours you can have it. PM me if you want me to send to you

I just got a set of the OEM Brembo bleeders and I would be happy to take any measurements that you needed me to take to see how they compare with the ones from NAPA.

Thanks in any case
Going to be replacing my brake lines, the bad bleeder screw and doing a full flush this weekend prior to heading to the track next weekend

I believe the size is M10 x 1 (pitch) and it is 31.35mm long.
For those of us who have sheared off a stuck nipple and couldn't get the remains out I came across this on Ebay UK which includes a 11mm drill, an M12 x 1 thread tap and a M12 bleed nipple. If you already have an M12 x 1 thread tap then the bleed nipple is available on its own.
M12 X 1.0 Repair Kit with Stainless Steel Bleed Nipple Screw for Brake Calipers | eBay
I can also confirm what I read on a different thread that welding a washer over the broken nipple and either building up the centre of the washer with plenty of weld to get something to grip or then welding a nut to the washer worked for me. I think the heat from the welder helps a lot and the washer protects the caliper body.

while the length is 31.35 mm, how exactly is that measured???

So I received the bleeders Gelbster noted
4 xStainless Steel Bleed Nipple Screws M10x1.0 Brembo Caliper Subaru STI WRX EVO | eBay
They are a little different than my factory ones
One thing I noticed is the point on the factory one is slightly flatter than the Brembo ones
The other thing is the factory ones use an 11mm wrench and the Brembo is 10mm
Not a big deal in any case
I did install one and it seems to work fine

Looks like from your pic that you are losing about 2 threads of engagement with the Brembo bleeder. I say this because if you look at the depth from the nose to the threads the Brembo is approx 2mm longer.

Contrary to what I said 1 couple of posts up I have now measured one of mine and is is only 29mm ( I assumed it was original but maybe not) and it is an 11mm spanner fit!

A vital (literally) measurement is the angle and major diameter of the cone at the end of the bleed nipple. The angle must be exactly the same as the Factory part.
Usually the angle is 90 degrees but who knows if there are variations.
I suggest the cone angle of the replacement bleed nipples need to be very precisely measured and compared to the original - assuming the original is correct !
Of nerdy interest is that the seat of the caliper will have a slightly different angle to the bleed nipple. In theory this produces a very small concentric sealing surface with very high pressure from tightening the threads. Seems counter-intuitive but it has worked this way for many decades.
