Nothing twisty here – I was on I-95S in Old Saybrook, CT. A Tuesday morning, barely any traffic, top down passing a Yukon that was in the right lane. I’m doing 80-85, the Yukon probably 75, and I look up from the stereo I was fiddling with, and there’s the cruiser parked in the grass at Exit 66. The gun’s aimed right at me and I’m about 200 feet away.
Crap.
I slide over into the right lane and look back and, yup, the cruiser’s on the move. In the meantime, as I slow down to 65, the Yukon comes up behind me and is right on my bumper. Along comes Mr. Trooper in the left lane, lights on, right signal on, trying to get in behind me to pull me over.
The Yukon won’t open up a gap. Mr. Trooper blips the siren, and the Yukon hangs right in there. After about a quarter mile of this nonsense the trooper gets irate, slides back behind the Yukon and pulls him over! I continue on my way.
And that’s how I’ve driven for 36 years without getting a speeding ticket.

It`s more fun when you let Tuner Kid get in front and they try to loose you in the corner.

Nooooo way, his car parts from kissing the guard rail will scratch your paint if you are behind him.
Better to stay clear of any wreckage as kids typically do something stupid sooner or later when under pressure or frustrated...and beware of tractor trailers at all costs while your at it.

I love stories like these, I believe I was born to race because I love it, so like I said I love the stories.
I have a Miata with a factory body kit and few people actually recognize it as a lowly Miata, people assume it is something exotic, especially when I have the hardtop on, people are always asking what is it and how fast is it.
So needless to say ricer boys that couldn’t outrun a yugo are always wanting to race.
And now that I have the Boxster people still rev their engines at me. I think maybe they see me in a sporty car and are teasing the old lady. You don’t think they see me as the little old lady from Pasadena do you?
Last week I took a few days and drove every twisty country lane I could find in NorthWest Arkansas and SouthWest Missouri. At one point while on a 4 lane highway I had a sedan of some sort (I think it was a Beemer) pull up behind me, so my knowing a two lane road was just ahead I slowed down trying to get him to pass, instead he slowed way down and fell back, then just as I got to the end of the highway I looked in my rearview mirror and there he was, he had ran upon me going into the twisty road. Clearly he wanted to play, I drove increasingly harder through the twists and turns and he obviously tried to hang with me for a time but then I didn’t see him again. Was he trying me or was it all in my head, who knows but it sure was fun anyways.
Yesterday I also had a VW bug rev his engine at me, I just gave him a big smile.

I've been driving sporty cars for 50 years, but only have one story along these lines. On Highway 49 in the Sierra foothills, a pickup truck pulled onto the highway behind my '95 Miata. The Miata was supercharged, lowered, the whole 9 yards worth of mods; a track day toy that was street legal. The F150 pickup got on my bumper and I thought he was being silly, so I pulled over to give him enough room to pass in a straight section. He didn't, so I took off at about 80% of what the car would do. At the next curve I didn't even tap my brakes, just went for it. The pickup did not come out of that curve. I did not go back to look.
