Sorry it took so long to reply. I was in the back yard doing some trimming to pay for my five-star vacation to Bermuda.

I have friends who were born, raised and still live in Bogota. They tell me there are sizeable and influential drug cartels operating there, possibly not in great a number as Mexico now, but nevertheless, lots of drugs and drug money flows through Colombia. Now they may keep a really low profile and drive "normal" cars and my assumption was wrong. Lord knows I've been wrong before!

They also tell me there is a small, but very wealthy upper class in Bogota who live and drive very well.

I tell you what though... if my Boxster got that much attention, I would only drive it out of town into the hills to enjoy the twisties. Sheesh!
