Exhaust would be my guess as well, but I have heard that a loose spark plug can generate a buzzing type sound as well.

Anything that shifts in size with higher temp and creates a self resonance at a certain vibration speed.

Does it reoccur if you stand still in neutral and increase throttle slowly throughout the register? Does it make different sounds depending on the surface quality, rougher tarmac etc?

It could be a heat shield, something inside exhaust system for sure.

Looked into 3rd party exhaust packages but they're all uber expensive
