you can buy new clips for the sides from the dealer (they're under $5 for the pair). these helped my problem somewhat.

the REAL problem can be seen if you remove the roll bar padding beneath the windstop. the windstop support nub on the roll bar padding is held in place by a riveted metal bracket. this bracket cracks.

i'm not sure if the bracket is available in the windstop hardware package, or if you have to buy the roll bar padding. at any rate, it is the REAL culprit behind the rattling problems. see pic below.
