Oh YEA! and Oh Shyt

Got a free set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports Oh Yea!

I'm sitting in the waiting room of the tire shop and the owner rolls in one of my wheels and says you have a problem. He points to a small crack on the bead onthe rear of the wheel. Oh Shyt!

It was holding pressure and I looked at the wheel without the tire and it is a small crack that fortunately does not go into the barrel of the wheel.

I guess its off to the wheel repair place tomorrow and have it fixed

I'm not too worried about a repaired wheel as these are my DD wheels and tires and I have a different set for track and AX

What rim was it that cracked, the stock 17" turbo twist Porsche Rim?
Did you hit something, pothole?

I suppose a good aluminum welder can fix that crack?

Naw, its one of the rear 18" Carrera II's
Must have gotten a pothole somewhere.
There is a really good wheel repair place here in San Diego. They can TIG weld it and it should be fine. Fortunately it is the back of the wheel, so it won't need repainting
