dash light on

How long should the dash lights stay on after you turn off the car and remove the keys.my boxster s seem to stay on quite a long time before they turn off.Thanks Jimbo

If you lock the car they turn off right away. I've noticed mine stay on for a while if left unlocked so I just lock it to prevent unnecessary battery draining even in my garage.

My 01 S behaves that way as well. The dash will stay lit for a couple minutes, although I have not timed it but its not too long.

I lock the car in the garage as well to force things to shut down right away.

Power drain is probably minimal for those couple minutes so I would not worry about it.
