Wow, such fantastic stuff! I wish I could be there. Thanks for sharing it!

PS: I've so far seen Spectre 3 times. Amazing cars in that movie.

Attended a seminar on the GT4 CS today given by the project manager & the head of Porsche Motorsport. The engine is all stock just like a 2014 Carrera S they did say the DME program was tweaked.

If I remember correctly, the GT4 CS has 385 hp, only 5 hp more than the street version but weights about 120 lbs less (this is where I may be wrong) and has PDK it was a beautiful car!
Right next was a really nice Cayman GTS.

At the entrance was a beautiful white GT3 RS but with a $200k tag...!!

The new Targa is pretty amazing. The top mechanism is what happens when engineers drink too many Red Bulls.

I remember the original Ford Gt's, a very early memory that is stuck with me, sitting with my brother watching the racing such a long time ago. Always wished I could have seen him in one of the new ones before he passed. But I think my next Mistress will be the Targa: they are absolutely delicious!

CS weight is 2855 lbs same as a 2000 Box S.

2.0-liter turbocharged V-4 engine sends over 500 hp to the rear wheels, while a 400-hp electric motor powers the fronts. Electric power comes from regenerative braking and converted exhaust-gas energy. The recovery system utilizes a liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery for storage.

I love the look of the new Targa - I think the lines are cleaner than the base 991.

And yes, that top mechanism is what happens when too many German engineers overthink the problem!

With the bodywork between the wheels and drivers enclosure being minimized for drag (very low to the ground), it gives the appearance that the wheel enclosures and driver's greenhouse are HUGE. To my eye, the whole thing is out of proportion.

I also really dislike the billboard on the back.

But its fast as snot, so maybe form follows function...

Definitely agree. The really off-putting feature for me are the front fenders. So bulbous. Kramer's famous quote "Look away, I'm hideous" comes to mind.

There is a car art show going on in OMA called Design in Motion at Kaneco Museum. Lots of fabulous cars including a Talbot-Lago. Also included is an Audi LeMans car. I was shocked to see it was from 2002! It looked sleek and sexy and sure seemed like it would be competitive today despite being 13 yrs old.

Interesting that the Club Sport is only a mere 5hp increase. Porsche continues to refuse to break the 400hp barrier with a Cayman. What's next, a GT-4 Club Sport RS with 390hp?

Today I read that the new 911 cup car may not be a rear engine model..?

Perhaps someone at Porsche decided to cross the line to be able to remain competitive..?

The 919 is no looker. Seeing it at Rennsport next to the 917 I know which one I like better.

919 is certainly a winner on the track!
