Will Grabit tools work without a drill?

I have a stripped out CPS sensor bolt and have the Grabit extractor kit on the way. There's no way to really get a drill in that area, so I was wondering can the tool also work connected to a socket wrench with extensions on it?

I picked up a similar kit at Lowe's to remove an idler pulley nut on my Pathfinder. Socket wrench is probably best as you want a good bite to gradually break it loose. I'd be afraid a drill might grind it down more.

I just had to remove a plug with a hex bit that I stripped and I used a socket. I agree, I think a drill might just spin too fast and drill out material instead of grabbing .
