We tried welding but snapped and then again. Car not on road atm so can't get to a dealer. Any ideas??

Pound a socket over it?

That's how we used to steal....er, uh, help...buddies with their own when socket was lost.

They do make a set of threaded sockets that thread themselves on to the OD of the wheel lock as you try to remove the wheel bolt.

I had to use a set to remove a wheel after a ham handed tire tech used an impact to torque my wheel bolts on.

They work great but it is a B***H getting the socket off the wheel bolt after it has been removed from the wheel.

You find code either wrote on the plastic bag that the locknut came in and also on the option card if the mech decided to write it on there on delivery of car.

go to the dealer. You can get a new one if it's a factory lock.

I have to use a socket on about 25% of the cars that come into my yard because the key is missing. Hammer it on, break the lug bolt loose, and before you loosen it all the way. Take your hammer and tap it around the edge. The socket should work it's way off. I also start with that lug bolt, before removing the other four lug bolts.

And for me, a medium depth 12 point 11/16 socket has pulled 8 bolts so far and should be good for a few more.
