We tried welding but snapped and then again. Car not on road atm so can't get to a dealer. Any ideas?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Pound a socket over it?
That's how we used to steal....er, uh, help...buddies with their own when socket was lost. |
Tried that but can't seem to find any size that fits close enough to bang on . Any ideas of sizes?

Anyone else know the code?

They do make a set of threaded sockets that thread themselves on to the OD of the wheel lock as you try to remove the wheel bolt.
I had to use a set to remove a wheel after a ham handed tire tech used an impact to torque my wheel bolts on. They work great but it is a B***H getting the socket off the wheel bolt after it has been removed from the wheel. |
That looks like the same one that I have. Where do you find the code??
|
You find code either wrote on the plastic bag that the locknut came in and also on the option card if the mech decided to write it on there on delivery of car.

go to the dealer. You can get a new one if it's a factory lock.

...What Woody said.
And for me, a medium depth 12 point 11/16 socket has pulled 8 bolts so far and should be good for a few more. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1442184664.jpg |
