So it hasn't leaked since Wednesday night when it left a puddle the size of a quarter. Not one single drop at home or at work.

How's that for a head scratcher?

on my first boxster i owned i had the same leak and it mysteriously stopped . it was only a very small drip when it did leak .

Check if it is not coming from above the bell housing. In my case it was a failing aos apparently dumping enough oil in the inlet that it dripped down on the bell housing.

I could swear that my valve cover was leaking when the AOS was the culprit.

The second time a couple of years later, the leak was caused by a crack on the lower accordion hose that connects the AOS with the crankcase vent valve...
