Newbie needs help...

I'm the new guy at both this forum and Boxster ownership so here goes. I bought a 2002 Boxster S just because I saw it sitting on this car lot as I was driving by..it was love at 1st sight. First I put a new top on it n learned all about those clogged drain hoses n how to clean them..my question is about that piece of canvas attached behind the seats with the water channel clipped so that water drains into the two drip pans n down the drain hoses..since mine is dry rotted n has holes in it I need to either replace it or repair it..what is it called n how do I get another one..or is there a way to repair it? Somebody help..PLEASE!!! Thx in advance as I have no idea what to do...I'm loving the forum n have learned so much from it already...thx for all the help.

Drain holes? 986 newbie here also. Could clogged drain holes have anything to do with my passenger side floor being wet after a typical Florida rain?

Clogged drain holes

It's a safe bet that your water problem is coming from a clogged drain hose..I learned how to clean mine out using a bicycle brake cable..step by step instructions on this forum n let me tell you they were completely blocked..cleaning them is a must do..

EZY: You should be able to get an auto upholstery shop to replace that canvas flap for you.

Everyone reading this thread: There are little tubes in the drain holes that are just friction fit in there and are easily poked down under the rubber mat. Be careful when cleaning the drain holes out that you don't dislodge this plastic tube.
