New 6 pg Article on 986 arrived today!

Received my October 2015 issue of Hemmings Sport & Exotic Car today. It is their monthly Marketplace Buyer's Guide.

Prices,Specs,Parts prices and Production figures for each year broken down by Base and S !! Commentary is intelligent and very good color shots.

Very well laid out graphs.

A keeper.

easiest way is to go to their website and subscribe to the digital edition. Just $10.00 for a year!

Interesting article. It seems that all the Porsche magazines and many sports and classic magazines have been putting out write ups on Boxsters over the last 12 months. I guess much of it is due to the new models.
It seems the humble 986 Box is becoming a favorite classic sports car.
Maybe this will increase its value?

Overall, a very positive story! The 986 has a lot going for it and its hard to beat the fun factor at today's prices.

Value's will someday exceed their Original MSRP cost if restored. Assuming their is fuel to put in them.

Did anyone else get a letter from Porsche that said my (2001) boxster S is now considered an early Classic car ? Anyone know exactly what this means (insurance wise or anything else) ?

Scanning and Posting on a public forum like this one will get you in trouble. Now PMing me with a link to download it from Dropbox would be a different story altogether

It basically Porsche marketing saying they are committed to keeping OEM parts available to keep your car properly maintained and cared for.

(So buy from them and not aftermarket.)

I'm sure that I am wanted for a lot more than scanning and posting a copyrighted story! If that's all they got on me, I got it made.
