Replacing the IMS actually doesn't look bad at all. I think removing and putting the transmission back on is going to be the tough part.

Get the Harbor Freight transmission jack. Makes life sooo much easier.
I removed and installed the transmission by myself and it was well worth the $70.00.

And it's about a 5 hour job to remove for a first timer, goes back on in 2. Maybe 1 hour screwing with the clutch swap and taking a million pics.

I figured it would probably take a weekend to do. The next challenge is finding a place I can do it at. It won't be possible at the apartments I live at.
