I was that guy, several months ago. She only moved about 5 feet before I could get to the brakes.
Only problem was, my Boxster rolled under a passing 'big' truck, and the trucks' tail gate lift frame dragged across the hood and frame. End story. my insurance totaled her, thank God that 'replacement value' has become the norm...

Wow nearly lost that E36 and no telling the damage and injury it could have caused. Strange to watch that same car is my daily driver but in white.....a truly awesome little car.
