No heat problems here - less heat, in fact. Trunk doesn't get hot after a long drive like it did before pipes/muffler swap.

Maybe the pipes were too close to the boots on Steve Tinker's car? Have they been redesigned since, maybe?

Mine are Circuit Werks, so different brand.

"cheap Chinese headers from (you probably know the ones from Texas)"

Yes these are the ones I was talking about. No problem regards quality of the material, but if I were to buy / fit them again I would enlarge the bolt holes slightly. The holes are so closely drilled & tight that there is no room for movement to get the bolt threads to start easily.
For the money you cant go wrong......
