Lancair? Nice plane. My dad flew a Glasair for a few years with similar astonishing performance. It required skill to put it down though as it was so slippery it did not want to stop flying.

My Wife's uncle "Abe" was such a good pilot I didn't even feel the wheels touch the tarmac. The most fun was the knife edge turns and hearing that big continental engine growling up front. The plane lands at 100 knots...not a lot of wing area
