You mean throw out bearing?

Although a worn throw out bearing is arguably cheaper and easier to replace than a main shaft bearing in the transmission....but that's probably not going to go bad.

IMO don't worry about clutch in/out when at a light. Short light, clutch in (also leaves you with a quick getaway if needed, long light in neutral). The throw out bearing would get replaced when you're doing the clutch anyways so it isn't like you'll burn it up first

I meant to ask about that when someone posted the PPI checklist a while back. What is wearing when you have the clutch depressed when at a light? Sometimes I leave it depressed and sometimes not and I can't think of what difference it makes.
