Battery Replacement

Hi All
I need to replace the battery in my 986 tomorrow
Just like to confirm its OK to stand in the trunk. Don't want to stuff my back up trying to remove from the side.
Thanks for any advice

No worries. I'm doing it all the time. Just don't forget to vacuum up your footprints.

I just replaced the battery in my 996 Targa and found the best price at Pep Boys. They have a 30% off coupon online and free instalation. I paid $125 installed for a Bosch size 91/H8 which is the biggest battery that will fit in the Boxster or 996. It was less $ than the size 94/H7 which is smaller

Also no need to stand in the frunk, you can do everything from the fender side

I found standing in the truck easier then from the side. At 6'4 and 210 lbs I had no problems. Try Batteries Plus. I got their branded battery for $95. Battery price seemed to have gone up in the last year as the battery I recently got for my daughters Mini was $105.

Job done

Thanks for the input guys - job done and back on the road. Right spec battery from BatteryWorld for A$209 and easy to fit. (Everything is twice the price in Australia)
I will add a thread on Porsche prices in a few minutes....
