So basically it is a mod that makes your headlights
useless is what I gather. Please don't compare the 944 to a camaro either...944 owners usually do not have chains or mullets.

They were the best handling cars in their time. Even in today's standard they hold their own. The 951 (944 turbo) is probably Porsches biggest litte secret.

Hum, this ad shows a different side, unless someone Photoshopped that in there.

Yes this is an actual commercial. This came out for the 1988/1989 turbo models. The 944 was voted the best handling car in the world bybcar snd driver. I can't remember what year it was. The 1988 turbo S and 1989 turbo was one f the fastest cars produced in its day. I've had one once 1993 and this was my dream car in my early 20's.
This commercial had me sold on it.

Good looking ride crooster!
Isn't that a bit too much suspension travel?

The car is lowered already. The height adjustable Konis are about as low as they can go. The car also has upgraded Weltmeister adjustable swaybars. So the answer is no, IMO.

Nice car...it looks like it is wearing a retainer on the front end
though. The guy should have removed the reserve and sold the car IMO. There are tons of these with lower miles that are for sale from time to time, and inevitably the owner thinks he has a $15k car (they sold new for around $20k in the early years) and though they may be really clean, the market for them is very narrow. The car you posted looks well maintained and he said everything you want to hear (water pump, belts, clutch) maintenance wise when buying one of these cars but most decent condition NA's are $3-4.5k cars. It does hurt to look at boxster values compared to these as you can easily buy a good early model 986 for what a clean 944 costs.
