125 mph at Sears Point. Subtracting the 4 mph difference in actual speed vs readout 121 mph.

138 mph with 5hz GPS data logger on a proper race track. April 4, 2014 CFOS
I tend to stay within the grey areas of the speed limit on public roads.

The only way I would go up anywhere near that high is if I was a) crazy
 b) wearing my melon protector
 c) did a recon run of every yard of that stretch of road to make sure the surface is legit.
 d) 100% certain I was under the broom stick.

I once spun this car on an open road early on and I will not lie it was not like spinning any other car.
Ever since then I have respected the small window of reaction time that your afforded once you go from "ooops" to "oh ***t..."

That's 164.66 MPH, highest so far. Did a governor kick in? I'm curious to this Boxster 164 MPH top speed I have read about.

I'm often asked, "how fast will it go?"
I reply, "According to road tests I've read, it is supposed to go 165 or so, but I've never taken it above 140." But I never say how far below 140 I've driven it, I just leave them to believe whatever they want to believe.

In truth, I haven't done that kind of speed on public roads in many years.

Fastest speed on a public road

116mph, top down and it felt much faster, top up since it had a tear 80mph too noisy and different feeling these speeds were achieved at 2am pretty much clear roads.

About 130MPH. It's not easy to do in Australia, as going 3km/h over the limit is a $165 fine. You need to pick your time and place very, very carefully. i.e. VERY far out of town, and for a VERY short amount of time.

I'm good for right now too, until I get my exhaust upgrades and tune done.
The car was very planted, I even changed lanes to get ready for my exit. I said this was 2 lanes one direction, it's actually 3 lanes one direction.

Street view and I took the 152 exit.

I would have needed a lot more room to hit that max 164 MPH spot. Right now I'm pretty happy with the 151 MPH.

Mind blown. How is your top speed through a corner and at 132.

I was trying to think of a nice way to reply to that post. I was laughing my tail off to your reply.

I generally do to, just had the perfect opportunity to see what she could do. When I looked and saw no cars in front of me, I couldn't resist the 3 lane highway stretching for miles. It was like Divine intervention.
