There is a huge amount of vw bus/beetle people in the blue ridge. Those that have the money have air cooled porsches as well. If you head up near the mountains you see more air cooled cars and Karman ghias than you do watercooled.

They used to say that more Porsches were sold annually in California than the rest of the world put together. Not sure if this still applies but there are plenty to choose from here!

It's the other drivers I worry about. Give me a rear wheel drive car with the hand brake next to me and I could have hours of fun driving around empty snow covered roads. Driving in the snow is the only thing I miss about living in Alaska.

Strange, I see at least a half-dozen every day driving around the OKC Metro area. Not always the same ones either. A good mix of Boxsters, Caymans, and 911s, old and new.
And there are of course the Cayennes and Panameras but I'm not counting them in this instance.
