Maybe it's a prototype 718? It says it has a 4 cylinder engine but no mention of a turbo. Maybe it is a 6 with only 4 cylinders actually working.

It's ads like this that really make some owners look like morons.

Probably a good deal, but not "Too good to be true". Hood looks like it's grey, spoiler is up, probably not functioning, No pics of leather, but say's it's torn, clamshell is a bit off. Nice price for the miles if the engine and transmission are good, but clearly needs some TLC. Could be a great choice as a DD for a DIYer.

The clamshell usually sits like that when there's an aftermarket (glass) top on it.
Headlights look to be tinted as well.

Nowhere close to "To good to be true"

I purchase a 2 owner 1998 base with 117K miles for $4,800....in 2011.

Also purchased another 1998 base (again 2 owner) in for $4,600...in 2012.

Both clear title cars, both dirty as hell and in need of bringing basic maintenance up to date. Both cars still on the road locally as I sold to folks I know.

My price point is now $3.5-$4K for a decent 98 or 99.

Great cars BTW!
