Someone should jump on this:

Well maintained, great mods. (No connection to me btw)

Looks like an excellent example of an early 986. Silver is such a blegh color to me. Who in their right mind would order a 2-seat convertible Porsche sports car in SILVER. My grandma might like it though! I'm sure this will offend someone around here...

It's nice if you want a '97. For only a few thousand more you can get a nice '03/'04 S.

Says the person who owns the little "I'm gay" Yellow car!

"Not that there's anything wrong with that!"

Really? Tell me, what's it like to still be living in the '50s?

Dude, lighten up man. I was joking. I guess I didn't use enough emojis.

Shelton is pretty local to me. If anyone needs eyes on the car, I can probably find some time to go look for you.

Using 'gay' in a pejorative sense is not 'joking'. It's simply not funny anymore. And certainly was never funny to many.

Who says I was using it as a pejorative? That may be your perception. Are you implying that calling someone gay is an insult? I could have very well meant it as a complement, but you think it's an insult. So maybe you're the one that's actually stuck in the 50's?

A little irony, at least to me...

This is being 'debated' on a Porsche forum whereas the phrase/quote originated from one of the most notable and largest (private) collectors of Porsches.

Incidentally, for those who don't know, he also featured an image of at least one Porsche in each episode (along w/ Superman).

Carry on...

Nice! I heard about Superman, not the Porsche images.

I'm glad you recognized the reference and thanks for pointing out the irony!

They're like all over the refrigerator along with a Skip Barber poster (or magnet). In some of the latter episodes he has the boxster prototype up there.

Of course it's a guy from Amherst that's making a big deal about it. Calm down, snowflake.

Of course I'm no moderator, but the Forum remains pretty loosely moderated.

Please check yourself before posting. Bad jokes and humor that may offend a range of people may be okay, but Don't make it personal.

I have seen some good, helpful members leave the forum because just a few people or a single person made comments that they felt were a personal attack.

We should all be here to learn, help, or entertain. Please take a moment before clicking 'Submit Reply' and consider your words.
