That's like the worst place for a nav system. Look up, look down, look up, look down. loo down, oops you missed the exit.

And for GPS, who doesn't simply use their smartphone mounted to the windshield these days? Eyes stay on the road, no looking down.


I can't believe Porsche went to the trouble of embedding the Nav system into the gauges for the newer cars.

I know it looks terrible. Particularly when the car is off. The boxster and 911 of our style is by no means known for its interior, but I still love the way the gauges look illuminated at night, both the silver trim white dials and the black base ones. I couldn't imagine sitting in a porsche and seeing a black screen in one of the dials. I personally really like the 918s gauge style, lots of info but keeps the sat nav off to the side.
