Halogen Headlight Repair

ok, has anyone had experience with opening up the old halogen headlights and
replacing the inner lense?
as you can see the plastic is cracked and beginning to show signs of melting.
I would hate to have to trash the whole light fixture, as it is mostly in decent shape.

The headlights can be opened and repaired, assuming that you can find some good inner lenses. However, replacement lenses are rare and most opt to install HID projectors instead.
