my top has a worse cut, doesn't affect anything, but the appearance. top can be an expensive item and tricky to do right. mine has had a heavier gauge plastic sewn in good , except when putting the top down, you must get out at the halfway point and run your palm across it, or else it bunches irregularly and folds wrong to cause a pinch point.
