Goy my new front and rear bumpers and wheels on the way.

Got my front and rear bumpers picked out and on the way. Also got my wheels ordered too. Car goes in the shop February 2nd for the body work. Should look pretty sweet.

That front bumper looks like it's meant for facelifted 996's from 2002 and on. Also now would be a good time to shave those pesky bumperettes off...

Look forward to seeing the end result. The stock bumpers on our cars are pretty tame. The front bumper on mine is getting to the point that I want to repaint due to the usual rock chips we get since many of the freeway here in Phoenix are gravel lined.

Will that rear bumper fit on a '99?

Yes, both made by Duraflex, hoping it fits well. This is the Concept 2 bumper where the lower lip is different and the openings at the top are permanent molded in.

It does have a bit of a RUF vibe to it, but I believe this is considered the GT-2 bumper look?

That is going to work sooo fine. Love the new wheels you have no idea, just wow. Badarse concave spokes there (and easy to clean lollll)

Keeping them black?

Oh yes they will stay black. Wheel sizes are 8.5x19 front 10x19 rear.

They actually have to custom machine them for my car. They said 2 to 2.5 weeks before they ship. That's not a problem as the car will be in the body shop on Feb 2nd getting the bumpers put on and a couple dings fixed. They will probably have it around 2 weeks or less.

Back bumper showed up damaged.

Company I ordered the front bumper from hasn't shipped the bumper yet. So I'm canceling that order, but read further.

Think I'll look around for a different brand. Both bumpers are made by Duraflex and the finished product (at least on the rear bumper) was terrible. Would require a lot of work to smooth out all the imperfections to make it Porsche like quality. Matter of fact in some areas, the body shop guy said he didn't think he could get it to look right. Even had a bumper reconditioning guy come look at the rear bumper to see if it could be fixed and have him work out the rough spots. The guy shook his head no and didn't even quote a price to work on it.

Car goes in the body shop Monday. For now I'm just getting the two dings fixed.

On a good note, the wheels got shipped out today.
