Thanks for the insight.. I know they modified a stock wiring harness and we had to buy a new Carrera DME from Porsche to get the settings right. I can ask more about the electrical and get back with specifics. I remember this being a tricky part of the whole conversion. That and the axle flanges, which were re-machined on a CNC machine.

I'd like to know rough costs and time for the motor work. MB has advertised a few engines that I've thought about buying "just in case" but it seems like they usually have them around so probably not an issue.
